The machine base is of very stable and torsion-resistant welded construction. The shape and the cross-section are designed in such a way that all occurring operating loads are safely absorbed. The drive is provided by a 5-spoke handwheel via a planetary gear to the drive spindle. Due to the large gear ratio, only a small amount of force is required at the handwheel. The guide of the square work spindle is equipped with adjustable gibs.
